The City of Roanoke Urban Forestry & Trees Roanoke will be planting a Cedar tree outside Temple Emanuel for Tu B’Sh’vat, January 20, at 1 pm. (Weather Date is Jan. 27) *Celebrate the “New Year of the Trees” *Educational “How to” demonstration from certified “Tree Stewards” by planting a Cedar tree *Special Tu B’Sh’vat songs with members of our Chailites and Shirim Children’s Choirs *Special Tu B’Sh’vat “seder” will follow with friends from across the community & region Soup and salad will be provided. Please bring a dish made from fruit, nuts or grains to share, or a dessert made with fruit and nuts. This will be a special occasion, and we are honored the City and Trees Roanoke selected Temple Emanuel for this premiere collaboration. We believe this to be the first such event in Virginia. We expect visitors from across the region and state, so be sure to mark your calendars for Jan 20!
