Brotherhood
The Brotherhood is an integral part of Temple Emanuel. It provides opportunities for friendship and fellowship while supporting our Temple community.
Brotherhood members can often be found in the Temple’s kitchen, honing our culinary skills and sharing a spirit of camaraderie and fellowship. Some Sunday mornings, we welcome congregants to Brotherhood’s lox and bagel brunch for delicious food and a chance to visit with friends. Congregants also look forward to Brotherhood’s periodic congregational Shabbat dinners and to the traditional holiday dinners we cook for Rosh Hashanah, Simchat Torah, Hanukkah, and Passover. We also prepare dinner prior to the Temple’s Purim Spiel. We sponsor an annual congregational picnic and in November, we serve our traditional meal to accompany our Cantor’s Friendsgiving concert. Additionally, Brotherhood offers catering for family life cycle events and special events.
Brotherhood erects our Temple’s Sukkah each year. We support worthy causes in the community, such as RAM House, by providing funds and meals. Fundraising for Brotherhood also includes the sale of our popular Lox Boxes.
We welcome all adult men in our community to join us as we work together to enrich life at Temple Emanuel.
